I love this! I was about to say and now I will too, but I wanted to look into the history of it and (and I’m really sorry to ruin the association) I don’t think it’s true. Apparently Teflon was invented in the late 1930s and although NASA used it a lot, they didn’t invent it. However, manufacturers apparently used to market Teflon as being a “space-age” innovation, hence the connection. I always remember being told the reason we have non-stick pans is down to space travel and every time I use one I think of that!
