... a quick spin around Drunk Elephant's new serious, grown-up, definitely not for kids rebranding, plus a deep, deep dive into the controversial new No7 range that's been setting my DMs on fire...
I do believe that the worlds glaciers are presently melting at an alarming rate due to global warming. It does seems odd to use this as a marketing strategy when this is becoming common knowledge.
I totally agree. I did make it clear that I was Not A Fan (and that I thought it undermined the science) when I worked on the project but some things can't be changed, unfortunately.
Thank you, for wannabe Sephora Kids, I often recommend Bubble and Byoma — they’re just a prettily coloured and (largely) don’t contain ingredients that will make their faces fall off
If it’s as good as ‘Future Renew’ (which is my demographic) it will spread by word of mouth and repeat buy. I’ve spent a lot on skincare over the last 30 years (I’m now 59) and Future Renew plus a retinol overnight 2 or 3 times a week has women of my age-ish at work networking events sidling up to me to ask me what I’m using on my skin.
The marketing Boots are doing is likely going to damage the launch rather than otherwise.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. I’m glad you like FR, I do think it’s great, both in terms of how it was developed and the results it gives. And I love that it works alongside a retinoid (& is clearly working for you) Re DE, yes. Very much yes.
Love all this BTS intel!! The glacier reference + AI faces were just a bad combo. I know brands are looking for ways to stand out in a very crowded field, but they potentially undermine what otherwise sounds like legit good products

I loved reading this, Claire - especially as the mother of a would-be Sephora Kid.
